Toddler Slides is an application for little kids, which displays images accompanied by sounds in a presentation-like fashion. It comes with a pack of sounds and nice images of different objects, but you can also add your own ones. All the images are stored in one folder specified by the user and can be managed easily. To run a presentation, you just need to press the "Run" button. The program is fully customizable, allowing you to adjust its settings as you wish. You can set it to display captions, select the caption font and capitalization, and background color. The images can be displayed randomly or in alphabetic order, either for a given interval each or changing after a key press. Stopping the presentation, however, is rather inconvenient - and what is more, I didn't work several times.
For security reasons, the program automatically disables Windows system shortcuts and function keys while running, so you can leave you child playing, knowing that he/she won't crash your computer or access your applications. The user interface is not really attractive, but it is very simple and intuitive. Some of the default images are somewhat plain, but some others are real photos and may even have sounds. They are mainly animals, but there are also images of food, transport, home objects, tools, and some others.
